New Momo Collages!!

June 22, 2010

I’m so jealous! While the rest of the Bunny’s here in the lair are making goofy space monster art, Momo creates classical looking, beautiful work. Here are her three most recent collages:

She says she’s saving her collages for our art show on July 18th (more on that when we get the details ironed out), but she might start mailing these out to people after the show! Cross your fingers!!!

Got this here piece from Claudio Romeo (from Italia) a few days ago. THANKS Claudio!!!

And, speaking of SHIRTS…

June 22, 2010

The Bunnyheadsquad, under the guise of “whY aRe Designs,” has entered the world of high fashion by making some of the artwork featured on this very blog, along with some other exciting stuff, available for the GENERAL PUBLIC to purchase and wear to their grubby little hearts’ content. To see what’s available, go to the “Online Store”:

Here are a couple of the graphics you’ll find there:

AND, be sure to let us know if there are any other pieces of art you’ve seen on this site that you’d love to have stuck to your body. We’re nothing, if not accommodating!!!

The Bunnyheadsquad gets FASHIONABLE!

June 22, 2010

We’ve decided to make some Bunnywear for our goofy group to parade around town in. Naturally, we assumed that the best way (and most PUNK!!!) to create our high fashion would be with stencils and spray paint.

Here are Killa Masta Fruit and Pants modelling some of the recent products:

And this is a shirt designed and hand-made by Pants herself!

And, lastly, here is a stencil experiment, conducted by Pants, that got all nightmary on us. I love it. (Sadly, however, a bug hopped into a particularly thick puddle of gold paint and got all Medusa-ed on us. Sorry, bug.)

Some Photos

June 22, 2010

Here is a picture of The Supreme Bunny Warlord daring himself to say “Candyman” in the bathroom mirror! (This pic was taken with our old, beat-up camera.)

Here’s a picture (taken with our fancy, NEW camera) of the flowers that tSBW bought for Momo for their 13th Wedding Anniversary! (Isn’t it a MUCH nicer picture than that yucky, old photo up above here? Yes. Yes it is.)

And here’s a photo of the brand spankin’ new bikes that tSBW and Momo bought so they could try to get more healthy! (Exercizing sux. So, we figured we’d trick ourselves into thinking we were just playing… we love to play …and see if we can “accidentally” slim down a bit. Anything’s worth a shot. Plus, the bikes look cool. Fancy red. And, they got cushy seats.)

Too Big to Scan!

June 22, 2010

Here are a few pieces of artwork I’ve completely (mostly) fairly recently that are too big to fit on the scanner. (We got a new camera, finally, so I’m set to start snapping! BEWARE!!!)

“Earthman vs The Blob”

oil pastel and water color on recycled cardboard

“It Ain’t Natural (Devil Kid)”

oil pastel and water color on recycled cardboard

“Blue Monster and Light Phenomenon”

“Service”

oil pastel, water color, and paper collage on paper

“The Dangers of a Child’s Life”

oil pastel, acrylic, and collage on recycled cardboard

“The Princess as a Child Contemplating the Death of a Caterpillar”

acrylic on recycled cardboard (the cake box from my daughter’s birthday party!!! Some of that frosting looking stuff really is frosting!)

“Three Ghosts”

oil pastel and pencil on paper (An “oldie,” this one is a fan favorite… ahem …that I drew last summer. It occurred to me that I’d never posted a picture of it anywhere. This is the main picture that I’ve been asked to recreate as a t-shirt. But, I haven’t gotten to the t-shirts yet, have I…)

Momo’s Collages

June 14, 2010

Here at the Bunny Lair, Momo (aka Mariah Yates) has been collaging like a crazed mongoose. (I don’t know what that means either, but it sure sounds funny!) She has graciously given me permission to share them with you.

A package ready to leave the lair.

June 8, 2010

Here’s a package containing a couple of zines heading for my old DJ partner, Mike King. (We used to DESTROY Saturday nights in Kelso, Washington, at a little club called the Allen Street Bar & Grill as the dynamic DJ duo SATCHMO BASTICH!!! The good old days…) I really just wanted to scan this because I like the hippy skeleton I sketched for no reason on the envelope!
